The Seiko Astron GPS Solar HAB004J is a 145th Anniversary Limited Edition, one of only 2,000 pieces produced, built around Seiko's Calibre 5X63 GPS Solar Dual-Time Chronograph movement. Drawing power from any light source, it connects to the GPS satellite network to automatically adjust time, timezone and Daylight Saving changes, with accuracy independent of a battery.
The 43.40mm titanium case is finished with a super-hard coating and measures 12.4mm thick, with a 50mm lug-to-lug for a comfortable fit on the wrist. A light silver dial is set off by blue accents on the seconds track and sub-dials, inspired by Seiko's signature "Seiko Blue" colourway, and protected by sapphire crystal with a super-clear coating.
Three sub-dials are arranged in a symmetrical layout for the chronograph, day-of-week/UTC and GPS Solar 24-hour functions, alongside a date window, power reserve indicator and satellite acquisition display. An in-flight mode allows GPS reception to be switched off when required.
The watch includes both a titanium bracelet and an exclusive blue-and-white silicone strap, switchable via Seiko's quick-change push-button system and secured with an easy-adjust three-fold clasp. It's water resistant to 100m and rated to 4,800 A/m magnetic resistance. The limited edition is marked on the case back.
