The Story
The Timex x Pan Am® Waterbury GMT TW2W97300 celebrates Pan Am's rich aviation heritage, channelling the precision and legibility early aviators relied on into a modern GMT watch.
A 39mm stainless steel case (with recycled content) houses a quartz GMT movement, using an office/caller GMT function — the GMT hand is set independently to track a second time zone while the main hour hand stays fixed. A two-tone red triangle GMT hand and an airplane-shaped second hand reinforce the aviation styling, alongside a date window at 3 o'clock. This model does not feature Indiglo illumination.
The blue dial is protected by a mineral crystal, and the crown carries the iconic Pan Am logo. A brown leather strap completes the design, finished with contrast stitching, Pan Am blue lining, and Pan Am globe grommets for an added layer of heritage detailing.
It's water resistant to 100 metres, suitable for swimming, though not recommended for diving. Swiss-made parts are used, with final assembly in Thailand.
